The far right’s hate is loud.

But our love is louder.

Texas Freedom Network (TFN) fights for the full equality and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ Texans.

The Fight for LGBTQIA+ Equality in Texas

What We’re Up Against

Rather than representing all the people they’re elected to serve, far-right extremists and politicians attack LGBTQIA+ Texans at every turn — simply because of who they are or whom they love.

TARGETING TRANSGENDER TEXANS

BANNING LIFESAVING HEALTHCARE

In 2023 — despite massive public resistance — Gov. Greg Abbott signed SB 14 into law, banning lifesaving gender-affirming care for transgender youth including puberty blockers and hormone therapy.

CREATING UNSAFE CLASSROOMS

Right now, far-right school board members in ISDs across the state are targeting LGBTQIA+ students, families, and teachers by banning LGBTQIA+ books and passing harmful policies on gender identity and expression.

LGBTQIA+ Texans Are Here to Stay.

Texas is our home, and it belongs to all of us.

Texas Freedom Network advocates for a state where all people can feel safe and at ease, thrive, and exist — freely and authentically — without fear of being targeted.

TFN’s LGBTQIA+ Advocacy

At the
Capitol

TFN fights anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation and organizes our network of activists so that together we can make it clear to far-right politicians: hate is not welcome in our state.

In the Classroom

TFN mobilizes at the State Board of Education (SBOE) and in local ISDs to ensure LGBTQIA+ students can safely be themselves and see themselves in their books and lessons.

In the Community

TFN advocates for LGBTQIA+ equality, safety, and inclusion in local governments and communities through grassroots advocacy, civic engagement, and partnerships.
