U.S. Rep. Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin, the Republican nominee challenging Democratic U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill in Missouri, told Tea Partiers on Thursday that there’s no science behind evolution. Think Progress has Akin’s quote here:
“I don’t see it as even a matter of science because I don’t know that you can prove one or the other. That’s one of those things. We can talk about theology and all of those other things but I’m basically concerned about, you’ve got a choice between Claire McCaskill and myself. My job is to make the thing there. If we want to do theoretical stuff, we can do that, but I think I better stay on topic.”
Akin, as you will recall, claimed in August that a woman’s body won’t let her get pregnant from a “legitimate rape.”
I wonder if he ever got on topic, because this is meaningless blather.
Well, I have to ask the key question here. Can you get pregnant from an illegitimate rape?
That no sense Akin quote makes, WTF?
Who does he think he is, such as, Miss South Carolina?

Yes, I remember that South Carolina girl. She made quite a number of headlines in the days afterwards.
For anyone who might be interested in reading it, my blog has officially made an election endorsement for President and Vice-President of the United States. You can read the endorsement essay here:

It is a “classic” Charles essay for those of you who might miss my more lengthy comments on issues of the day.
And this clown is chairman of the Science Committee in the House? A perfect example of why you should vote for only Democrats of both houses of Congress. Republicans have totally abrogated their promise to their electorate.
