Did you know that you now have to show a very specific form ID to vote in Texas?
Yup. We’re not fans of it either, but it’s the new law of the land here in the Lone Star State.
You now have to bring one of the following forms of ID with you to the polls to cast a ballot on November 4th:
- TX Drivers License
- TX Personal ID card
- TX Concealed Handgun License
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. military ID with a photo
- U.S. Citizenship Certificate
That’s not all — make sure your ID expires after August 2014 (if not, you’ll need to get it renewed to vote); and your voter registration card must have the same exact name as the one on your ID.
If you don’t have one of these forms of ID, fear not! Our friends at Vote Riders can help you get one.
As always, the Texas Rising team is here to help. Just email us if you need anything!
