“The Revisionaries” — an award-winning documentary film about the textbook wars at the Texas State Board of Education — is headed to Austin, and TFN is hosting two premiere showings at the Violet Crown Cinema on Friday, Oct. 26.
The theater isn’t very big — so act quickly to get buy your tickets for either the 6:20 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. showtime.
“The Revisionaries” is the first-ever film to spotlight the politics that surround Texas’ bruising textbook battles and take seriously their far-reaching impact on public education across the country. Michael Moore has declared that the film, which prominently features TFN’s advocacy efforts, is a movie every American should see.
Each Austin screening on opening night will be followed by a Q & A session with director Scott Thurman and TFN President Kathy Miller, who plays a major role in the film.
