Alert: All-Out Legislative Assault on Abortion

This Monday, April 1, extremist lawmakers at the Texas Legislature are launching an all-out assault on abortion rights with a series of bills that include a complete ban on abortion.

Here’s a list of those bills and where you can go at the Capitol to register your opposition at one of the registration kiosks.

If you can’t attend in person, you can also call lawmakers. Use the tool at the bottom of this post to find contact information for your representatives.

HB2350

What: HB2350 (Capriglione) – Would make abortion illegal with NO exception for rape, incest, or fetal anomaly.
When: Monday, April 1, 2019
Where: Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committee, E2.026, 8am

How you can help:

  • Call your state representative and tell them to vote no
  • Provide testimony in opposition
  • Register in opposition to the bill at a kiosk

HB3605

What: HB 3605 (Sanford) – Would appoint an attorney ad litem to represent a fetus during a judicial bypass proceeding for a pregnant minor who wants an abortion.
When: Monday, April 1, 2019

HB1929

What: HB1929 (Noble) – Would bar local governments from working with trusted community healthcare providers, like Planned Parenthood
When: Monday, April 1, 2019
Where: State Affairs Committee, E2.028, 10:30am

SB22

What: SB22 (Campbell et al) – Would bar local governments from working with trusted community healthcare providers, like Planned Parenthood
