Sept. 25, 2025: Intro to Public Education Advocacy in Texas

In Session 1, we covered the history, the landscape, and the current and upcoming fights for quality public education at the State Board of Education (SBOE), the Legislature, and in local districts. Attendees left with clear next steps, new connections, and access to resources to deepen their impact.

Nov. 20, 2025: Storytelling & Testimony as Powerful Tools

In Session 3, we dove into how our personal stories can serve as a strategy to influence policies and legislation by submitting public comments and testifying at the local or state level. Some attendees also learned how to take their advocacy to the next level by helping to organize testifiers.

Oct. 23, 2025: Local School District Advocacy & Monitoring

In Session 2, we covered how to get involved at the local school district level this year in opposition to book banning and education censorship. Folks were able to join the training session most aligned with their current skill level and learn how to level up. We closed out with regional breakouts, allowing advocates to connect with others in their district.
