Okay. No one is commenting on the TFN “monkey business” party posts. Now, this is going to be a little on the negative side, but it was all I could think of to say. When I first saw the party graphics, like the one above, just one thought shot through my mind, a thought cultivated by the area where I live, but a thought cousin-related to the Religious Right in Texas. Here is that thought as only one of my nearby neighbors around here could express it:
“Maw??? Djew see that thang own the sign—that thang with the upside down triangle a settin’ rot next ta that thar naner peel. At looks like a liquor glass ta me. Why that thar alone jist a goes to showin’ ya. Em peeples in that thar TFN thang drinks alkihol. It’s clear ta me now that they is enemies of the Lord. Why, if’n I lived in the stato Texizz, I t’warn’t a gona give ’em a dime. They is awl a ‘goin to hayul and that no darn good for nothin’ munkee too.”
