Right-wing fanatics in Texas argue that hundreds of Texas school districts are indoctrinating students with Islamic and Marxist propaganda, and anti-science activists are trying to dumb down the same students’ textbooks with nonsense criticizing evolution and climate change science. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.:
In an interview with Understanding the Times host Jan Markell on Saturday, Rep. Michele Bachmann accused President Obama of giving aid to Al Qaeda, which she said is proof that we are living in the Last Days….
Bachmann said that the Al Qaeda funding (which isn’t happening) is a sign of the End Times: “This happened and as of today the United States is willingly, knowingly, intentionally sending arms to terrorists, now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history.”
“Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand,” Bachmann continued. “When we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this; these days would be as the days of Noah.”
She makes Sarah Palin seem well adjusted….
Well, she’s right. At least, she’s living in the “end times”. It’s nearing the end of the high life for her and nearing the beginning of the “orange jump suit” phase of her life. The gop is circling the drain, as well.

They even funded the group that ran that horrible ad with a creepy Uncle Sam in the doctor’s office.

People claim that we live in the End Times for about 2000 years now. Since then they also ignore their own holy book that says:
‘Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.’ (Matthew 25:13).
Some theologians even interpret the parable in a way that the second coming will happen at a time when no one is actively expecting it (both the foolish and the wise virgins fell asleep). From that point of view people like Bachmann acually prevent the second coming by talking this nonsense. Like the old trick of ‘I’ll give you a cookie but only after you have forgotten that I promised you one.’
